SHELL HOUSE FOLLY – Cilwendeg, Pembrokeshire

Victorian follies hold a fascination for most people – and this strange little building in the woods near an old mansion house are no exception. The building is entirely lined with ornate patterns of shells gathered from the seashore. It’s a real little gem. Normally these are open for public viewing on Thursdays from the first week in April through the last week in September. Admission is free to each building but site donations are always warmly welcomed. It’s well worth a visit.
