Oban is a very attractive little fishing town and ferry port and the ideal starting point for a trip to the Western Islands. The harbour bustles with activity and you’ll find a couple of quality fish restaurants to eat in. Back around to Loch Fyne a little south – don’t miss Inveraray – the seat of the Duke’s of Argyll and their impressive castle. But also visit the little town of Inveraray and find out all about whisky at the Loch Fyne whisky shop. Just a couple of miles out of town the Loch Fyne Oyster company is the original location for this well-known restaurant chain. This guide looks at a number of hotels at different price levels. Dur. 30 minutes.
