Krakow is one of eastern Europe’s most attractive city with lots of beautiful medieval architecture around the main city square and also in the university, cathedral and castle districts. Since recovering from its time under Soviet Communism and under the Nazis in World War II Krakow has revived wonderfully with lots of good restaurants and fun bars. Remember Polanbd is one of the natural homes of vodka ! But on a more sober note Krakow is also a base for a very sobering day trip to the concentration camp at Auschwitz. Within the city is the site of the smaller Nazi camp featured in the film Schindler’s List.
